When the sun sets over the Carolina coast, the real test begins.
Riptide Ruck is an overnight endurance challenge built for those willing to go deeper than distance. Every hour on the hour, ruckers step to the line and take on another 3-mile loop through Oak Island — roads, darkness, and the relentless pull of the beach. The clock never stops. The weight only increases.
Most will break. One will remain.
Beginning at sunset, competitors will push through the night carrying their rucks across pavement and sand, under the moon and eventually into the sunrise. With every passing lap the challenge intensifies, forcing athletes to confront fatigue, rising pack weight, and the simple rule that defines the event:
